Caught Red Handed CBI has claimed that he was caught red handed in the trap that was laid by the agency following complain of one of the investigating officer. Bora through one of his associate Mukul Pathak had approached the officer to manipulate the outcome of the case in his officer and had offered the bribe. He was caught when he came to meet the officer. The image of the state Congress party has been tarnished a lot because of arrest of the minister. The arrest has given a severe jolt to the political party as the arrest was ‘unprecedented in the history of Assam and the country’s politics as a whole’(newshopper.sulekha.com).

Big Threat Though the opposition has got an opportunity to criticize the state government but the general reaction of the public is ‘This is just the tip of the iceberg ‘. Every political party in India has tainted leaders against whom uncountable criminal cases are pending in the courts. When criminals fed up with their profession, they choose politics as the alternative profession that suits very much to their nature and that provides a shelter from the judicial sentences waiting for their wrong doings. Those times have gone when people used to see the politicians as the followers of Mahatma Ghandi now they take them as criminals in guise of politicians. This is not just one incident many are waiting to happen .It is not the problem of one political party but of all the political parties and also a threat to a civilized society. The greatest Democracy of the world is facing a big threat and it is the time for all the political parties to shelve their difference and fight a war to free the nation from of clutches of the menace named ‘criminalization of the politics’.
