Power In the recent times the power of Maoists has increased a lot and they also have got modern weapons. In the present situation, police personal who are ill-equipped and unaware of jungle warfare cannot face them. Maoists are expanding their base and the governments of the affected states are unable to tackle the menace. Government could not succeed to improve the economic status of the people of these states even after 60 years of Independence. People of these states are illiterate and very poor. Corrupt politicians and administration have always prevented the people from getting benefits of the various welfare schemes initiated by the central government for the unemployed and poor people of the country. And Maoists has exploited the situation and have succeeded in increasing its manpower. And now when Maoists have become so powerful that they have started to attack the security personal, it needs that the central government should intervene in the situation so that the adequate measure could be taken to tackle the menace and prevent the people from choosing the way that will lead them to nowhere.
