Second Attack Maoists have shocked the government with the second biggest attack on the Orrisa police personal after the one on the boat carrying the greyhound commandos in which more than 30 police personal had died. Maoists had attacked MV-79 village on Tuesday night. The security personal were returning to Belimela after conducting combing operations. The security personal were ambushed by the suspected Maoists in the way.

Attack On Tuesday night Maoists had attacked the house of a local BJP leader and had looted Rs. 60.000 and ornaments. While returning to their hideouts they had cut off and felled tree to prevent the immediate arrival of the security personal. When some of the securities personal were clearing the road Maoists fired them and at the same time triggered the IED blast that blew of the anti-landmine van in which remaining security personal were sitting. Maoists used a huge quantity of explosives to blow off the vehicle as it was an anti-landmine vehicle. All of the securities personal were killed by the Maoists when they were trying to come out of the overturned vehicle.

Power In the recent times the power of Maoists has increased a lot and they also have got modern weapons. In the present situation, police personal who are ill-equipped and unaware of jungle warfare cannot face them. Maoists are expanding their base and the governments of the affected states are unable to tackle the menace. Government could not succeed to improve the economic status of the people of these states even after 60 years of Independence. People of these states are illiterate and very poor. Corrupt politicians and administration have always prevented the people from getting benefits of the various welfare schemes initiated by the central government for the unemployed and poor people of the country.And Maoists has exploited the situation and have succeeded in increasing its manpower.

And now when Maoists have become so powerful that they have started to attack the security personal, it needs that the central government should intervene in the situation so that the adequate measure could be taken to tackle the menace and prevent the people from choosing the way that will lead them to nowhere.
