Society There are thousands of AIDS patients who have not been recognized and listed. Though government has done many efforts to give knowledge to the people about the causes and avoidance of AIDS but has not succeeded fully in its mission. On the other hand numbers of HIV patients is increasing exponentially and people don,t follow the guidelines to avoid the infection. Only well educated people have understood to avoid HIV.  Uneducated and ignorant people of remote village treat HIV patients as if they are patients of Plague. HIV patients are treated very badly in the uneducated and ignorant society. Lack of health facilities and social discrimination further increase their problems.

Medicines for the HIV are very costly and most of the people are unable to buy them. Except it people have not understood that AIDS patients can live a long life if they are treated properly. It is not the infection but the social discrimination that becomes the reason of the early end of life of HIV patients in most of the cases in India.
