Clashes in J&K -15 Die

Clashes Fifteen protesters died in the state of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday when security personal opened fire on the violent protesters in various parts of the state. Both of the regions have stood up against each other because of the land transfer issue. In both parts hard line political parties have exploited the issue which has flared the public angers. State and Center governments, Hurriyat and Hindu Organizations are equally responsible for whole of the communal rift between both of the regions, damage to the public and private property and losses of many human lives. State government failed to handle the crisis when it was in its initial stages. Center government ignored the situation for almost one month. Hurriyat misguided the Kashmiri people on the issue of land transfer which forced the government to roll back its earlier decision and it was followed by Jammu agitations headed by radical Hindu organizations.

Kashmir Protests A Hurriyat leader named Abdul Aziz Sheikh with five supporters had died in police firing when he was leading a cavalcade of apple laden trucks towards Muzaffarabad-a PoK city-as a protest to the blockade of national highway by the Jammu agitators. After it, situation in Kashmir has become vary tense. Hundreds of people have got injured because of clashes between police and protesters. Tuesday, August 12, turned out to be one of the worst days in the history of the state as 15 persons have died in the state because not only because of police-protester clashes but because of communal clashes between two communities.

Communal Clashes Three protesters died in the Lajson town of Kashmir when they attacked the house of a PDP leader. Three protesters died in Paribal when they were pelted stones in an isolated military picket and did not disperse despite repeated appeals by the soldiers. But one of the worst incident happened in Kishatwar town of Kashmir when a mob attacked houses of Hindu minority. Police had to open fire to prevent any major incident from happening. Two persons had died in the incident. It must be noted that Kashmir is a Muslim dominated area and Jammu is dominate by Hindus.

Blockade Hurriyat has misguided the people of Kashmir by raising the issue of economic blockade which has not happened on the ground. Hundreds of trucks have passed to both of the sides on the national highway. And military has provided them adequate security. The issue of ‘economic blockade’ is a brain child of of ISI backed Hurriyat leaders for which ignorant public of Kashmir is paying the price.
