CBI Fails To File Charge sheet In Arushi Murder Case

Charge Sheet Central Bureau of Investigation could not file charge sheet against the accused in the Noida double murder case.  September 9 was the last day to file the charge sheet but CBI has failed to do so because of lack of concrete evidence. CBI has said that it could not do it because it has not completed the investigation yet. Investigation agency has even failed to find the murder weapon and the mobile phones of the deceased that could have been concrete evidence.   Investigation Arushi Talwar, only daughter of Dr Rajesh Talwar, was found murdered in her bedroom on May 16 morning. Police had suspected Talwar’s domestic help Hemraj of the crime. But his dead body was found the next day on the terrace which had revealed the mishandling of the case by the Noida Police. Police did not handle the case well and with over interest of media it remained in highlights for more than two months. Because of excessive public pressure this case was handed over to CBI.  But CBI too could not do enough. CBI has succeeded to collect only the scientific evidence. Krishna, a compounder working with Rajesh Talwar, Rajkumar, helper of Talwar family’s neighbor and another domestic helper Vijay Mandal are the accused in this case. It must be learnt that Rajesh Talwar was also the chief suspect before the arrest of these three accused and had to go thought a lot of mental pressure and scientific tests conducted by the investigation agency.   Mystery This case  remained in the national news during the months of May and June and during this period it had raised many questions. Media’s and Police’s role was debated by every one who had the slight knowledge of this case. Even Child Rights Commission had raised questions about the way media and police had handled the case. It was one of the most sensational case of that time and every one wanted the mystery to be solved and the murderers to be punished. Police, instead of finding the evidence had damaged it. This case had also forced the  police to rethink about its approach as it was busy with its traditional methods of finding the evidence while murderers had used that time to destroy the time. Onam-Festival Of Kerala

Onam Indian has 28 states and seven union territories. Every state and union territory is unique in itself. Indian has been divided into states on the basis of geography, religion, tribes and languages. In short we can say India is a ‘unity in integrity’. Every state has its unique culture, style of living and festivals. Today we are going to discus about a festival called Onam that is considered to be one of the biggest festival of the state of Kerala. This festival is celebrated during the first Malyalam month of Chingam. This month corresponds to the months of August-September of the Gregorian Calender.   Mythology It is celebrated in the honor of Asur(Demon) King Mahabali and continues for ten days. The first day of the festival is called Atham that is decided on the basis of the position of stars. While the last and the most important day is called Onam. According to the Hindu mythology and belief of People of Kerala on this particular day in the month of Chingam Lord Vishnu had taken Avatar(birth) as Vaamana, in the Kingdom of King Mahabali and had sent him to Swarag (paradise). It is believed that on this particular day spirit of the King visits Kerala. To impress upon and welcome their revered ruler, Kerala people lay flower mats in front of their homes, arrange community meals, dance, play and make merry. Even competitions for the laying of flower mats are held. Usually young girls are given the responsibility of this work. People of Kerala give a lot of importance to the lunch on the Onam day. People install image of Lord Vishnu in form of Vaamana Avatar in their homes.   Celebration People wear new clothes on this day and a special feast is held in which special dishes are served on banana leaves. Special boat races are held. Boat race is called Vallakali that means snake boat race. Aranmula Boat Race and the Nehru Trophy Boat Race are the world famous boat races and thousands of tourists come to Kerala to visit these races. Usually 100 oarsmen row every snake boat. This festival also marks the harvest season. Though traditionally it is associated with the Hindus but all the people of Kerala from all the religions celebrate it. With the passage of time it has become the identity of Kerala.

Dhoni And Yuvraj Win Top ICC Awards

Dhoni The annual ICC awards function  was held in Dubai on  Wednesday, September,11 in which two Indian cricketers have succeeded to won the top ICC awards. ODI and 20T captain of team India became the first Indian cricketer to win the ICC ODI Player of the Year award on the basis of his  performance this year. His teammate Sachin Tendulkar, Australia fast bowler Nathan Bracken and Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Yousuf were also in the race to take the prestigious award but he beat off their tough competition. He has played 39 ODI’s during the voting period and have scored 12,98 runs with the average of 49.92 and at the rate of 82.46. He made one century and nine fifties.  Except it he has dismissed 62 batsmen as a wicket keeper. It includes 46 catches and 16 stumpings. He always performed according to the circumstances. He is currently ranked as no one ODI batsmen in the ICC Player Ranking. He has also figured in the ICC ODI Team of the Year which is nothing less than a dream come true.   Yuvraj Singh His team mate Yuvraj Singh has also been awarded with an ICC top award. He has won the inaugural international Twenty20 performance of the year award for his six sixes off Stuart Broad ‘s  over during last year’s Twenty20 World Cup held in South Africa.   Other Awards Indian player Ishant Sharma, too  was in the race to win the Emerging Player honor but this award was won by Sri Lanka’s ‘mystery’ spinner Ajantha Mendis. West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul was honored as the 2008 International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricketer of the Year. Currently he is ranked at no one position in the ICC Test batting rankings while in the ODI he is ranked at sixth position. Except it Steyn was named Test player of the year. England Women Team Captain Charlotte Edwards was adjudged women’s player of the year. Austrian Umpire Simon Taufel was once again adjudged as Umpire of the Year. It is the fifth time that he won this award in a row. Sri Lankan Cricket team once again one the spirit of cricket award. This award is based on the best conduct of the team during whole of the year.
