Two Serial Bomb Blasts Suspect Killed In Encounter In Delhi


Encounter A militant named Atiq, who was wanted in connection with serial blasts in Ahmadabad and Delhi, along with one of his associates was killed in police encounter in Jamia Nagar area of south Delhi on Friday morning. Two Delhi Police personal also got injured in the fierce encounter that lasted more than an hour. According to the police sources one militant has been apprehended by the police while two of their associated have managed to escape unhurt. It must be noted that more than 120 people have died in serial bomb blasts in three Indian cities and Indian Mujahideen named terrorist group had taken the responsibility of carrying out the crime. According to the Indian intelligence, IM is the changed name of banned Students Islamic Movement of India.

Intelligence Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Karnail Singh told reporters that acting on an intelligence inputs police raided the house where five suspected militants including Atiq were staying. A police inspector and a constable got injured during the exchange of fire. Another prime suspect in Ahmadabad serial blasts Abu Bashar was brought to Delhi on Thursday to interrogate about the September 13 serial blasts in Delhi. During interrogation he had revealed that he knew about the planning of the Delhi serial blasts but did not knew the exact time. Abu had identified the four storied building near a mosque in Jamia Nagar in which he had stayed with some other suspected militants in the month of July. Delhi police have launched combing operations to nab the militants who had fled during the encounter.

Government This encounter has brought the truth to surface that  SIMI activists are directly linked with the serial bomb blasts triggered in various Indian cities. Some politician demanding the lifting of the ban on SIMI which shows that they had held their political interests more important than the national interests. Home ministry as well as intelligence and police were under constant pressure for their failure to deal with the militants effectively.  Constant criticism had downed their moral very low. This encounter has boosted their moral and has also decreased problems of Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil  and at the other hand strong massages have been sent to the militants.
