CBI’s SMS Campaign against Corruption

Corruption Democracy is the solution of all kind of problems whether they are social, political or related to any other category. Corruption is one of the biggest problems that are being faced by developing and under-developed countries.

Campaign Though government has formed some departments to counter this problem but they too are not free form this problem. There are many instances when allegations have been made against these ‘anti-corruption’ departments. Corruption is the major reason that Indian public prefers the private section to the public sector.

SMS Service To convert its nation-wide campaign into a grand success CBI has tied up with all the GSM/CDMA service providers which include Airtel, Vodafone, MTNL, BSNL, Tata Indicom, Reliance, Idea, Aircel and BPL. These communication companies send text messages to their subscribers to make them aware about the CBI’s campaign. CBI launched this campaign in most regions of the country. In future it will be launched in the ‘remote’ areas also. CBI’s press information officer R K Gaur told that the agency is investigation some information about the suspected ‘offenders’. It is director Ashwani Kumar who initiated the campaign. All the service providing companies have included CBI’s anti-corruption campaign into its social service advertising so it has been taken up as free of cost.
