Issues
As the Lok Sabha elections are nearing both the main national parties of India, Congress and Bhartiya Janta Party have increased their efforts to corner each other by using each and every issue by giving undue importance to it. Senior Congress leader Margrate Alva had raised her voice over the issue of ‘selling of election tickets’ but her voice soon became feeble and at last was ‘shut down’ by the ‘high-kman’. BJP, too, had to face similar kind of situation as one of its present MP has raised the same issue. Both the parties have failed the simmering revolt by taking action on ‘disciplinary grounds’. No party has raised this issue as all are suffering this problem and everybody knows that elections are won on ‘sold’ tickets and then elected leaders start to earn from their investment. This is evident form the ‘cash-for-vote’ scam when allegations were made against some UPA parties of bribing some MPs to vote in favor of Manmohan Singh Government during the trust motion in July. No political party raised the ‘ticket-selling’ issues as it could have exposed each of them. But at the other end all these parties are raising such issues that are very sensitive and can become a major threat to the unity of the country.

Politics
After serial bomb blasts in some cities of India, intelligence agencies had arrested some people who all of them were Muslims. After it Jamia Nagar encounter had took place. Some local people had raised objections over Delhi Police’s ‘detailed version of the encounter’. Local people’s suspicion had provide an issue to another political ‘foe-turned-friend party’ to ‘raise voice’ in favor of the community. Some leaders have even raised this issue in the Parliament and had demanded an inquiry into whole of the incident. But PM had ruled out any possibility of any inquiry into the matter. This issue was raised just for the ‘appeasement’ of a particular community. United Progressive Alliance government was under attack from all corners for its failure to tackle terrorism. Congress’ soft approach had worked as a ‘safe-heaven’ for the terrorists and they had succeeded in carrying out serial bomb-blasts undetected. At that time BJP had an upper-hand over Congress. At that time it was being said that if elections are conducted at this time then none of the other political party could stop BJP led NDA alliance to form next government in New Delhi.

ATS
But recent arrests of some seers and military personal have provided some ground to Congress to attack the saffron party. Mumbai Anti-Terrorism-Squad had arrests a sadhvi (nun) and a seer (priest) and some retired and serving military personal for their ‘involvement’ in some bomb blasts that were planted mostly in Muslim-populated areas. Just in a week, ATS has solved many years old bomb blast cases. ATS had even claimed that one the arrested military officer have admitted that he had supplied the RDX that was used in Samjhota Train bomb blasts. But soon the ATS backtracked from its earlier claims when it was challenged on the basis of forensic reports of train blasts. Forensic reports say that RDX was not used to blow up Samjhota Express. ‘Secular’ parties have linked the majority community with some bomb blasts and have given it the name of ‘Hindu-terrorism’ and thus have put ‘majority’ community against the ‘minority’ community. They are using the term ‘Hindu-terrorism’ to attack BJP, RSS and some other Hindu organizations. Politics of ‘bombs’ has widened the rift between the communities. At the other end it has also become evident that Mumbai ATS is following outside directions. With every day ATS comes up with new ‘leads’ and claims of solving a particular ‘bomb blasts case’. The speed with which Mumbai ATS is solving years’ old cases, shows that with in a month it will solve all bomb blasts cases that have ever took place in India.

Common people of India are very much frustrated with the ‘bomb-blast’ politics of India. From present scenario it looks that these political parties know much more than the investigation agencies. Though serial bomb blasts are an internal threat for the country but for political parties they are just ‘issues’. For them bombs are just ‘balls’ they are using to score against their ‘rivals’.
