Advani Some of the main party leaders were not happy with LK Advani who had taken the indirect responsibility for party’s shocking defeat in the Lok Sabha elections by declining to become the leader of opposition. But when some of his associates forced him to change his decision he immediately accepted the post of the opposition leader. This had not ended here. Everyone was stunned to see when he appointed his favorite Arun Jaitly as the party leader in Rajya Sabha and got Shushma Swaraj appointed as his successor in Lok Sabha. To keep the opposing people quite Advani and his supporters said that Sangh Pariwar had influenced them to take these steps. If this would not have been done then a war of posts could have begun between the second line leaders.
Aftershocks After it leaders from both the sides of BJP started to express their views and differences in press. With this it became evident that who is in favor of Advani and who is in his opposite side. Though BJP Chief Rajnath Singh himself looked aligned to one group but he ordered that no party leader will use media to express his views. Though, his order looked just eyewash. It was said that whoever won’t follow these guidelines he will be punished according to party rules. At the same time when Rajnath Singh’s order was being telecasted on some news channels another TV channel was telecasting the details of the resignation letter of senior BJP leader Yashwant Singh who had written this letter to the party chief Rajnath Singh and the core committee members. It must be learnt that been elected from Hazari Bag constituency. The main fact he had said in the letter is that it is being believed that those leaders are being awarded by the party leadership who are responsible for Party’s defeat in the recent Lok Sabha elections. This had not ended here he resigned from his post of BJP Vice-Chief and the other posts in the party. Except it he mentioned many reasons that were responsible for BJP’s defeat in the Lok Sabha election and which can not be ignored by the party leadership. BJP’s internal rumbling that has just started can not be easily put to an end because the chief question is to follow the basic party rules and to remain in the leadership.
