Delhi Diary: Woman MP comes to Raja’s rescue:

Delhi Diary is a quarterly e-news letter launched by Delhi State Office. It focuses on varieties of issues like economical and social issues related to Delhi. These issues are related to Delhi from urban development, health care, tourism, retail etc. Sensational news in Delhi diary is about political interference in judicial system. A union minister interferes in judicial system to rescue one of his known people. The minister is trying to influence Madras High court Judge to grant anticipatory bail to a doctor and his son. A High court judge of Madras Justice R Reghupath blames union minister Raja to pressurize him to grant a bail to doctor C.Krishna murthy and his son to manipulate mark sheets. He did not mention the name of the minister. But he said he is trying to direct me. He said he called me and try to compel me to grant bail. I said” You know everything. Unless an unconditional apology is tendered by you, I will incorporate every detail in my order”. The Indian chief justice KG Balkrishnan commented about the interference of minister in judicial system. Ministers should resist from contacting judges over matters pending in courts. A woman MP Jayalalithaa comes forward fearlessly and mentioned the name of the interfering minister. She said the union minister who was interfering in judge system is Raja.
She said although the judge had not mentioned the minister’s name but it is very obvious that it is none other than Raja. She said Doctor and his family lived near raja’s native town. She says union minister Raja threatened the judge. She was commenting that he called the judge and threatened the judge for the case. She said Raja was trying to influence madras High court Judge. She is also demanding dismiss raja from the ministry. She said sack him from his position. Raja denied the allegation of jayalalita. He said,” I don’t know anything.”He gave this statement on a TV channel that he doesn’t know anything about this. He said charges are baseless and politically motivated. He said he has no knowledge about this issue. As this is become a controversial issue now and he is related to politics he has to give explanation to prime minister about this controversy. So as a minister he should have to submit a concerned report to Dr Manmohan Singh about this.
