Dravid dropped from India one-day team: One of the experienced batsmen Rahul Dravid has dropped from the team squad for the first two games of the international series against Australia. Instead of him, Virendra Sehwag has included in the team. Recently, Dravid was recalled after two years for the Champions Trophy, but unfortunately he did not perform so well and scored only 80 scores and also India did not reach even in semi finals. May be this is one of the reasons to exclude him from the team as he is not performing as much as expected from him. This 36 years old bats man is always performing well, but it’s a matter of luck that at this time he is not giving his best and that’s why he has out from the team.
Virendra in, Rahul out: The other team members decided by panel to include for this tournament series include fast bowler Sudeep Tyagi, the same who represent the Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League. Because of his performance panel has decided to include him against Australia in the tournament. Yuvraj Singh, Virendra Sehwag who did not perform in the earlier series is also included in the squad. They did not participate because of their injuries, but now both are well and ready to participate. Virendra Sehwag was injured on his shoulder and due to this he was prevented from participating in Twenty 20 world cup. Yuvraj was injured on his finger during the practice matches just before the match against Pakistan in Champions Trophy. According to secretary of the Board of Control for cricket N Srnivasan that we will expect that Yuvraj is playe in the series from very first match, but we are sure that he would be played from second match. He also added that Virat Kohli who replaced Yuvraj in Champions trophy was retained in the team as his performance in Champions Trophy was so well and he has become top run getter in the series.
Team Squad: The match against Australia is seven-match series and it will begin from October 25, 2009. The team is in its full form and the team members of India included is Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra, Munaf Patel, Sudeep Tyagi, Praveen Kumar, Ishant Sharma. According to board of cricketers, they have full hope that this squad will perform better in the series and retained their image which was going down because of their performance in previous tournaments. We all are just hoping that this time Indian team will not let India down and perform well and make India proud.
