Delhi Ready To Host Commonwealth Games

Delhi ready to host 2010 Commonwealth Games: Recently the president Pratibha Devisingh Patil is visit on United Kingdom and there she the baton to signal the launch of 2010 Commonwealth Games. She has told that the capital of India is completely prepared for the launch and New Delhi is ready to gear the stage of this mega sporting event of the year 2010. According to her interview with the BBC channel in UK, Delhi is well prepared to welcome all its visitors at any time. She especially mentioned that the visitors or officials can come whenever they want for the inspection of the whole thing. She said Delhi is prepared for this thing and has no worry regarding this. They can come and visit and I am sure that they will find everything perfect during the inspection. She said Delhi is ready to handle this mega event which will be held in 2010.

India-UK relationship: According to Patil, she went there to strengthen the relationship of the both countries which was conceived in the year 2004. This is first time that head of the state visit London after two decades. She also described that UK is the fifth largest global partner of the India in the field of trade and thus such kind of visit definitely make the strong between two countries and this is the aim of my visit to London. She mentioned UK is fourth largest investor in India and India is third largest investor in UK.  She also mentioned that although the long time recession period affect both the countries, still it has many options that will be helpful to increase the trade relation and improve the business in both countries.  Both countries support each other and this is the reason that there are plenty of opportunities for the people of both countries.   

About Climate change: In her interview she also talked about the climate change which may ultimately affect the even held in December. She said but she has hoped that the UK and other countries have very vast technology concepts and these will work out during that time.  She also said that India is also looking forward to do something for this; we are trying to conserve energy and also started working on new renewable sources. She also said at this time of recession, India will give its special emphasis on improving the education standards of the students of rural areas and also on the health issues in India. India is also promoting the empowerment of women and to accomplish this India has also created a mission for social and economic empowerment. This will help the women in India to live like she wants with full opportunities and liberty.
