Shahid Afridi described Pakistan’s defeat in the one-day series as ’shameful’: Shahid Afridi is not happy with the performance of his boys in ODI series against New Zealand. He described that the defeat against New Zealand in one-day series was shameful for Pakistan cricket team.  They were playing the final match with the team of New Zealand in Abu Dhabi and lost the match with the margin of seven runs only. It was three match series and New Zealand won the series by 1 match. The final points are 2-1 and the match of Pakistan was lost just because of their little mistake. They could won the match with an ease, but may be because of their over confidence or taken granted for New Zealand team, they lost the match. Shahid said it was the shameful defeat and the team was played like club cricketers. If they played little seriously then there was no chance that we messed out this series.

Players are prepared for T-20: Although Shahid Afridi is not pleased with the performance of the team, but he will hope that the team could lift its performance in T-20 series. They will play two-match in the series which will be started on Thursday. Shahid Afridi will lead the team as the Younis is not in the team. He has quit the shortest form of the game. He decided this after leading the Pakistan cricket team in June. Afridi added that I am trying to motivate my team for the T-20 series so that they will not loose their morale and play well in the team. He said I don’t want that they play the next match with this low energy and so to motivate them, I am trying best from my side to support them. This shows his responsibility for his team. Shahid Afridi is always being very supportive for his team.  

We are stick to basics: According to Shahid Afridi the basic aim of my team in T-20 series is we are stick to basics so that we win the match. We all are just hoping that at this time we will not repeat our mistakes and play well. Shahid Afridi is very confident and positively charged for the series. In the June Twenty-Twenty he was man of the match for both semi final and final match. He is always being a good example for the team. He never gives up till at his end. He always supports and motivates his team members. All the Pakistan squad is highly motivated by them and this time he is going to lead them so this is very obvious that he will give his best to perform well.
