Indian Community in California: California is one of the places in the world where one can find in large number of Hindu families. There are various options for Indians and so they live there. One of the reasons to Indians to go there and to live permanently is various alternates like jobs in IT field, business and lots of more. There are various sources of income through which one can earn money easily. No doubt it needs time and sometimes a person have to spend the entire day for this. But at the end of the day they get what they deserve and so people rush out there to get their deserving amount of money. Now as it is known to each that India has many religions and so different kind of people are lived in India. Similarly in California, this mix breed is available that means people of different cast and religion from India are shifted there either on work visa or on PR.
Ethnicity of Indians is as follows: Like in other countries, people lived in California from India are of different religions. Different ethnicity is as follows:
1. Gujarati: There are lots of Indians who belong to Gujarati community and believe in Hindu religion.
2. Sindhi: Sindhi is also in large number in California who believes in Hindu religions a lot.
3. Bengal: These Bengalis are from the states of Uttar Pradesh and usually belong to Hindu or Muslims religions.
4. Tamil & Telugu: There are most of the people who come from Chennai and its near regions. They all are almost believed in Hindu religion.
5. Muslim: In California, one can also find the people belong to Muslim religion. These Muslims are belonged to India as well as other country (Pakistan).
6. Sikh: The most cheerful and delighted state of India is Punjab and there are many people who come from Punjab to California to live there. This Sikh community believes in Sikh religion and so there are various Gurdwaras available.
Religious groups: As it is very much clear that Indians are in great amount and thy lived happily there. Most of them lived there permanently and so there are many temples, Gurdwaras and mosques are available for their convenience. According to this, the main religious groups include:
Hinduism: This is one of the most famous and popular group and there are lots of people who believe in this religion. So for their convenience, there are various temples available and these temples are made so beautiful. All the Hindu religion lover and also people from other religion celebrate the festivals in these temples.
Sikhism: As there are many people who belongs to this community, so there are also gurdwaras where all the rules of a Gurdwara is followed with the same spirit and feelings like covered even head while enter into the Gurdwara and others.
Islam: There are lots of Muslims so mosques are also available. Muslims from India are far better than Muslims come from other countries. They are well educated and well settled in California. They are much wealthier and established.
Christianity: Although little, but still have community of Christians in Columbia and these are mostly belong to Kerala and Goa.
Types of Visa to go California: In India, people have some extra craze to go abroad and for this they started making plan in their early stage. It is not easy to go abroad and settled their for ever. There are various types of visas available there which include work permit, student visa and many more. Most of the Indians go there on student visa as it is little bit simple and easy to get this visa over other kind of visas. According to this visa a person go there for higher studies and may be do part time job but that depend on the country and its rules. Some countries allow to work from two to four hours in the earlier year and later on increase these hours. Similarly some companies deport their employees to foreign countries for taking proper training or for the completion of project. There is another type of visa in which a person can apply there for direct PR if he or she has completed four years in the same field. This means if a person show its experience of four years in particular field then he may apply for permanent resident in that country.
