Indian community in California: California is most populous state of United States of America and it is third largest state geographically with an area of 160,000 square miles after Alaska and Texas. The State of California has eight of the top 50 American cities according to population. State has some very famous cities like Los Angeles which is the country’s second-largest city and having second most populous city of USA after New York City with a population of 3,849,378 people, San Diego is at 8th in area and 6th largest city of country. Other popular cities of state are San Jose, San Francisco, California, Fresno, Sacramento, Long Beach, and Oakland, San Diego. The State of California is among one of the richest and most diverse parts of the world. It has many famous historical and natural places to visit which are center of attraction for the tourists. Some of the major attractions in San Francisco city of California state are Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Cable Cars, Alcatraz, Alamo Square, China town, Golden Gate Park, Lombard Street, Coit Tower, Pier 39, Union Square, Palace of Fine Arts, Trans America Pyramid, City Hall, Japan town, Mission Dolores. It is non-profit organization and located in San Francisco Bay area.  It has thousands of members of Kerala family and spreading their culture across the region by organizing cultural functions and educational classes.  There is separate organization for the Hindu people speaking Malayalee with name Organization of Hindu Malayalees. It aims at expansion of Hinduism and makes their generation learn about their heritage. To preserve Telugu people there is Telugu Association of Southern California which tries to promote their culture to next generation as well as to people living around them.

Job opportunities: There are wide scopes for Indians in various fields where Indian can work and earn well.
