‘Slum Dog’ Box Office Hit- Credit to Jai Ho: Although the movie Slum Dog proved to be the Big-Hit of the Box Office but the credit goes to the well versed Song ‘ Jai HO’ which is composed and directed by very talented A.R.Rahman and lyrics given by Gulzar. Gulzar Sahib feels that this song has become the part of special nominations as it was the part of Non-Indian Film. Actually, just like Gandhi, Slum Dog is also a non-Indian film. Gulzar really appreciates the approach of honoring the non-Indian scripts too. A.R. Rahman and Gulzar sahib both have worked so hard to make the successful song, but he solely gives credit to A.R. Rahman for its big hit success. Gulzar Sahib suggested having a category of best foreign cinema in our national awards so that we may also have a chance to recognize films outside India. In this Song Gulzar Sahib tried to fill the Indian sentiments in words.
