Miss World 2009 Cermony: Miss Gibraltar Kaiane Aldorino won 59^th Miss World contest at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa held on Saturday. There were 112 young talented girls from across the world who was taking part in the Miss World competition this year. Miss World 2008, Ksenia Sukhinova from Russia removed her crown and placed it on the head of new Miss World 2009, Kaiane Aldorino. Miss Mexico Perla Beltran finished with as first runner up position followed by South Africa’s Tatum Keshwar who got the third place in the competition.  Miss India Pooja Chopra was injured with her ankle and she won beauty with a purpose title for inspirational work for the charity to save the girl child. She was able to make till semi final round of the competition along with 15 other beauties but she was eliminated in penultimate round. Indian beauties have failed to win Miss World title after 2000 as in that year Priyanka Chopra had won this title.

Official Judges for the Miss World 2009 contest: Judges for the Final of Miss World 2009 were Julia Morley who is wife of founder of Miss world contest late Mr. Eric Morley and Miss World Limited Chairman as well as Chairman of the Judges, Indian bollywood superstar and former Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra, Zhang Zi Lin who had won Miss World title in year 2006 and she had also won international face of L’Oreal award, Mike Dixon who is West End and Broadway award winner musical director, JJ Schoeman leading South African designer, Lindiwe Mahlangu-Kwele who is CEO Johannesburg Tourism Company, Graham Cooke who is Managing Director of World Travel Group and Warren Batchelor who was Executive Producer of Miss World 2009.

About Miss World 2009: New Miss World Kaiane Aldorino was very happy winning the title and said “My time has come. I am living a dream that I pray will never end”. She is first girl from their country to win this big title of Miss World and in past no one from their country had made position in final twenty even. 23 year old girl Kaiane Aldorino who born on July 8, 1986 has worked as human resource clerk at St Bernard’s Hospital in her country before winning the Miss Gibraltar contest in 2009 on June 27, 2009 held at the Alameda Open Air Theatre. He likes dancing, travelling and spending spare time with her loved ones. Telling about her plans to the press in an interview she said she want to help people and will try to do her best while she has got opportunity and advantage now. Earlier, she had won the Miss World Europe and Miss World Beach Beauty titles which made her popular among the crowd.  Miss World 2010 competition will be hosted by Vietnam.
