Bollywood earns big bucks and recession proof Industry:  As per the data collected by the world famous agencies and sources even and few analysists have also proved that Bollywood or Movie-Show business is generating excellent ratio of revenues. Today Movies or we can say bollywood is on the top of the list of money making sources. If we talk about the year 2009 releases alone, we have the big hits along with the super-duper phenomenal hit ‘3-Idiots’, like- Love Aaj Kal, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Wanted and De Dana Dan. These big hits have generated crores of bucks and done a maximum business for the bollywood. As per the agencies data the Film Industry/ Bollywood has generated Rs. 86, 78, 00,000 for the last four years. Similarly, 2008 had a bunch of 7 hits, whereas, 2006 and 2007 both have 6 blockbusters separately, which means crores of revenue generation by the film- industry, which is not an easy task for any other sector of economy to earn such a amount in a short period of time. As we know that we are going through the recession time, but it is not been applicable to Bollywood. As no effect has been hit the results of the film industry, our entertainment industry is completely recession proof. As every body is well known about the Stock Marketing- Down fall below par in 2008, but, still our entertainment Industry (Bollywood) delivered seven big hits. Today maximum of our film watching audience is below 35 years and very crazy and hungry for the good entertaining films, inspite of an economic downturn even. People still seek good entertainment and movies although they are not in a position to afford such expenses but they would ready to spend on movies in good multiplex theatres and screens. The promotions of such high-class and well maintained multiplexes also attract the audience to spend more and more on movie tickets. Moreover, the US recession analytics have also declared show business or related services business as the recession-proof secured business, where we can earn good bucks inspite of passing through the recession path.

Aamir Khan- A good revenue maker even in recession:  The year 2009 is considered as the recession period, but, for Aamir Khan it hardly affected. His production  had given good hits like Jaane Tu Ya Naa Jaane and Taare Zaameen Par, which have made the record breaking business.Ghazni was also his one of the record breaking project which almost earned 70 crores of bucks and similar is the case of his latest hit- ‘3-Idiots’ which has surpassed the records of Ghazni even. This is of course because of Aamir Khan’s mind-blowing performances and totally unique and different ideas of films, which really attracts the audience like any thing and made ultimately the super-duper successful. No doubts that his idea of promotion of the films also affects the business and success of his projects. As per Aamir Khan, he never sets out to make a blockbuster, for him there is no formula for the success, he just follows his heart and every time presents a new idea before the audience, which leads to the good revenue generation out of his films. Actually, Aamir Khan is taking the benefit of his goodwill and the faith which the audience have on him and his films. His Ghajini made gross collections of Rs 114,80, 00,000 crore and build-up a new record, similarly, his new hit ‘3-Idiots has done record breaking business and collecting 400 crores of bucks beyond the expectations and imaginations.

Indian Film Industry / Bollywood:  Bollywood is another name of Hindi film Industry based at Mumbai, Maharashtra. Bollywood is the largest film producer of India and one of the largest film production centres of the world. The period of late 1940s to the 1960s is known to be the golden age of Hindi cinema. Some of the very popular and most critically acclaimed Hindi films were produced during this period, like- in 1957, w can find Guru Dutt’s hit film ‘Pyaasa , in 1959 Kaagaz Ke Phool, in 1951 and 1955 Raj Kapoor’s hit films Awaara and Shree 420 were made. These films even inspired the Hollywood also. Bollywood is really very rich of good Indian talents from all the sectors and regions of our country. Bollywood is also known as a mimi- India, as we can find every religion desperately involved in the show business without any discriminations. Here we can find the participation of every region of our country like- north based actors like Dharmendra, Sunil Dutt, Kapoors, etc, similarly so many actors from south, Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and even Bihar can be seen in this film based community.
