Vishal Bhardwaj takes on RGV: Today two most awaited movies released Ishqiya and Rann. Ishqiya is Vishal Bhardwaj production while Rann is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Both Vishal Bhardwaj and Ram Gopal Varma are well known for making out some unusual and unconventional films. Ishqiya is directed by Abhishek Chaubey but it has stamp from Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures Pvt. Ltd. Both movies are with completely different story and released on the same date so it is expected to have tough competition on the box office between the two movies. Rann is like a truth of today’s world which is happening in daily life. As most of news channels believe in showing news making them more entertainment source instead of showing the facts as it is. Media is only source through which we get to know the latest happening in the country and world so it is important that they present the real facts instead of making their own stories.
About Ishqiya: Ishqiya directed by Abhishek Chaubey and produced by Raman Maroo and Vishal Bharadwaj is having Arshad Warsi, Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah and Salman Shahid as leading actors and movie is set on plot of eastern Uttar Pardesh and story is a tale of romance between individuals which are caught in a web of crime, suspense, passion and dishonesty. Vidya Balan had got best actor award for her excellent performance in movie “Paa” and she has tried to show her talent in acting in this movie as well. Her character is completely different from her past roles she has ever done but she said she enjoyed working in the movie. She is playing role of a widow woman who listen to her own heart and do whatever she want. Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi are playing role of thieves who are running from their boss Salman Shahid and seeking for safe place with an old friend but instead of him they met Vidya Balan, who is widow woman. Naseeruddin Shah is shown with pure romantic heart at age of 51 with sharp mind and body being in guns and gangsters from years still he is very emotional man. He wants to lead a happy and peaceful life going back to his village but he falls in love with Vidya Balan. In contradiction to Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi is 32 year old, young hot blooded, lustful and scoffs at the idea of true romantic love. He is distrustful and indifferent to the finer things in the life. He learns real meaning of love and betray during the course of film. “Ishqiya” is production from Shemaroo Entertainment and Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures Pvt. Ltd. Music of movies released on January 1, 2010 already getting popularity. Music tracks are composed by Vishal Bhardwaj and the lyrics are written by Gulzar. The music was released on 1 January 2010. Singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sukhwinder Singh, Mika Singh, Rekha Bhardwaj and Clinton Cerejo have sung the song for the movie.
About Rann: Rann is long awaited movie directed by Ram Gopal Varma with star like Amitabh Bachchan in lead role. Leading stars in the movie along with Amitabh Bachchan are Ritesh Deshmukh, Sudeep, Gul Panag, Neetu Chandra, Mohnish Behl, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Rajat Kapoor. Movie is produced by Sheetal Vinod Talwar and Madhu Mantena. Rann is based upon politics of news journalism. Ram Gopal Varma said he did not want to cast Abhishek Bachchan in the movie considering that father and son had already seen in Sarkar. He wanted to work different from the movie Sarkar and he is well known for his unusual films from long time in bollywood. Amitabh Bachchan is playing role of Vijay Harshvardhan Malik who is owner of a well known news channel India 24/7. He is man with ethical values and believes in showing the correct facts to people on his channel instead of other opinions or stories. Ritesh Deshmukh is playing role of a young honest journalist, Purab Shastri who believes that media should be check point for the people of country. He is with same thinking like Vijay Harshvardhan Malik and wants to work for making India a better place. He thinks news channels should give right reports to the people not manufacturing the news of their own. Sudeep is son of Amitabh Bachchan in movie and he is highly aggressive and ambitious persona and looks at his father’s new channel purely as a business enterprise which must make profits to keep its existence. He don’t like that his other competitors are doing better than him. Paresh Rawal is playing role Mohan Pandey who is powerful politician and can do anything to get the coveted chair. Gul Panag is an ad maker who is typical youth of today who only thinks about herself first and does not care what is happening in her country. Rajat Kapoor is powerful business man who is close friend of Mohan Pandey and wants to become number one industrialist. Mohnish Behl is playing considers news as source of earning by making them source of entertainment and money. He runs his channels by converting news into the entertainment which increases TRP of his channel. It is true in today’s word that news channels are presenting to us is entertaining news and we are never sure how much truth is linked with it but we also believe in them being the most wide information source of happenings in the country and world. News channels and other media sources are also affected with powerful personalities whether they are industrialists or politicians and they can’t show the real facts if they have to make good profit.
