Saif Ali Khan got Padma Shri: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan got Padma Shri award for his work in Indian cinema. Padma Shri is fourth highest award after the Bharat Ratna, the Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhushan which s given by Government of India for the distinguished contribution in various fields including the Arts, Education, Industry, Literature, Science, Sports, Medicine, Social Service and public life. It is a big honour for Indian citizens, which further motivated them to continue their work with more consistency and proving better results in future as well. Saif Ali Khan has made his distinguished contribution in bollywood for which he is rewarded with this big honour of Padma Shri. He was happy with getting such a big honour and was thankful to directors who made him reach the stage at which people know him today. He is in film industry from last 18 years and has entertained people with his movies being an actor. He has also worked as a producer in Love Aaj Kal which released last year. It is expected that he will perform better in future will continue to entertain with his role. He is further looking to produce movies as well with working as actor as well.

Career of Saif Ali Khan: Saif Ali Khan born on 16 August 1970 in New Delhi in royal family. His father is Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi who besides the Nawab of Pataudi, was former captain of Indian cricket team as well. His mother is bollywood and Bengali actress Sharmila Tagore who converted his religion to Islam after the marriage. Sharmila Tagore is linked to Indian great port and Nobel Prize winner Ravindranath Tagore. Saif Ali Khan started his film career in year 1992 with movie Aashiq Awara for which he got film fare best male debut award. After that he was active in Indian cinema and gave many movies like Parampara, Pehchaan, Imtihaan, Yeh Dillagi, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Yaar Gaddar, Aao Pyaar Karen, Surakshaa, Ek Tha Raja, Bambai Ka Babu, Tu Chor Main Sipahi, Dil Tera Diwana, Hamesha, Udaan,Keemat: They Are Back, Humse Badhkar Kaun, Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan, Kachche Dhaage, Aarzoo, Hum Saath-Saath Hain: We Stand United, Kya Kehna, Love Ke Liye Kuchh Bhi Karega but those were not big hits. These were his movies till year 2000 and he did not make his name among big actors in this time but he was nominated for filmfare best supporting actor award for Kache Dhaage and Main Khiladi Tu Anari which were good movies on box office but he was in supporting role. In year 2001, Dil Chahta Hai released which changed his bollywood career. He won filmfare best comedian award for Dil Chahta Hai. After that he worked in many movies which shown his talent and he also came along big stars of bollywood. He gave many hit movies after that like Kal Ho Naa Ho, Ek Hasina Thi, Hum Tum, Parineeta, Salaam Namaste, Omkara and Love Aaj Kal. He won twice filmfare best supporting actor award & Filmfare Motorola “Moto Look of the Year” for his role in Kal Ho Naa Ho which was released in 2003 with Preeti Zinta and Shahrukh Khan in lead role. For “Hum Tum”, he won filmfare best comedian award as well as national film award for best actor in which he worked with Rani Mukherjee in year 2004. In year 2005, Parineeta and Salaam Namaste released which were also hit movies and he was nominated for filmfare best actor award for Parineeta. He also played role in a English movie “Being Cyrus” which released in 2006. In same year he acted as villain in Omkara for which he got filmfare best villain award. In year 2007 his Eklavya: The Royal Guard was listed among India’s official entries to the Oscars. He also worked as producer and actor both for movie “Love Aaj Kal”. This movie was directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan in 2009 in which Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan in lead role with Rahul Khanna, Rishi Kapoor and Giselle Monteiro were in supporting role.  His movie Kurbaan also released in year 2009 in which he acted like a terrorists and was working with his love lady Kareena Kapoor. Presently he is working for his upcoming movies which include Agent Vinod, Race 2, and Karachi Express. He is associate producer for Race 2 as well being a actor and producing Agent Vinod too.

Saif Ali Khan thanked to family and directors: Saif Ali Khan after getting the honour did not forget the people who made him reach the heights in his career. He thanked to his family and loved ones who were there for him and the film industry which supported him for years. He has worked with many directors in his career and those directors made him reach this position where he stands now and people know his a big actor in bollywood. He said he would particularly like to thank Imtiaz Ali, Aditya Chopra, Karan Johar, Ramesh Taurani, Farhan Akhtar, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Siddharth Anand, Kunal Kohli and Vishal Bhardwaj for having faith in him and made him where he stands now. He was feeling proud for receiving such a big honour from Government of India for his film career. In his film career he has seen many ups and down in his career but directors still gave him roles in their movies showing their interest in his acting. It was their confidence in him which made him get the movies and to make him fight for his stand in the bollywood and after struggle of long time he came in big stars line. This journey was started in year 1992 and he worked in many movies every year but none of them were big hits which can bring him among big actors in bollywood and it was writing and directorial debutant movie Dil Chahta Hai of Farhan Akhtar which turned his career bright after which he never looked behind and gave many big hits being a actor as well as in supporting role.
