Case for plagiarism against Veer: Salman Khan starred movie “Veer” released on January 22, 2010 and the very next day Gurgaon based writer Pavan Chaudhary filed case in Delhi High Court claiming that story is taken from his book Trilogy of Wisdom. He has filed a Rs. 20 lakh suit againt Salman Khan, Director Anil Sharma and producer Vijay Kumar Gilani and suit calls for a halt of film’s screening as well. According to Salman Khan, he had written this story 20 years back and it was his dream project. Delhi High Court has issued the notices to Salman Khan, director and producer of film after filing the case against them by Pavan Chaudhary and Justice V.K. Shali has asked them to file the reply by February 4. According to Pavan Chaudhary “India should not be a sone ki chidiya but a baaz” is conceptualized from his book. Applicant said that the he is the author, first owner, true originator and lawful proprietor of this concept with is mentioned in “Safalta ki Triveni: Chanakya Ka Rajnitik Gyan”, a Hindi translated version of his book “Trilogy of Wisdom” and no one is supposed to use his concept without his permission being all copyright with him only.

Protest in Jaipur against Veer: Bollywood movie “Veer” has faced protests in Jaipur alleging that the movie has some twisted facts which hurt the sentiments of the Rajput community. In the movie Zarine Khan was crowned as princess being his father was alive which is against the Rajput traditions. B.S. Shekawat a member executive of the committee told that they are protesting as some facts shown in movie are totally against their traditions and those scenes to be removed from the movie as it hurts their sentiments. He said if director will fail to remove those scenes then there will be more protests. He said how crowning ceremony can take place while father is alive and especially for girls. This does not make any sense and completely against their traditions. Members of Rajput community Shri Rajpur Karni Sena gathered at two theaters in city in morning and tried to stop the screening. Protestors became violent and broken glass panes of Trinton Mall in Jhotwara and Vaibhav complex in Vaishali Nagar. Police has arrested 20 members of the community and some protestors got minor injuries during police baton charges.

About movie Veer: Veer is bollywood movie directed by Anil Sharma and produced by Vijay Galani and Sunil A. Lulla. Screenplay is written by bollywood star Salman Khan and Shailesh Verma. Salman Khan, Zarine Khan, Mithun Chakraborty, Sohail Khan and Jackie Shroff are in leading role in the movie and movie is distributed by Eros International. Music for the movie is composed by Sajid-Wajid while lyrics are written by Oscar-winning lyricist Gulzar and music was released on 17 December 2009. Movie released on January 22, 2010 and movie had budget of 40 crore. The film was released 1,300 prints and in digital cinemas all over India and a further 236 prints overseas. It is first movie for the Zarine Khan who was a model and her dream came true with this movie to become a bollywood actress. She is compared for her looks to bollywood star actress Katrina Kaif even but she dies it and said that if she will be able to get the half success as much Katrina has got she will be very happy with her life. Story of movie is about a brave warrior as well as a love story. Salman Khan playing role of a brave Pindari warrior Veer who wants to throw out the British rule and to look like Veer he has worked hard with his physical trainer and gained a lot of weight. Mithun Chakraborty is playing role of father of Veer, Prithvi Singh while Sohail Khan is casted as brother of Veer, Punay. The actress is Zarine Khan who is playing role of Princess Yashodhara has gained about 8 kg weight to look like princess and her father’s role is played by Jackie Shroff who is king of Madhavgarh.

Story of Movie and reviews: Movie has a plot of time when India was ruled by British people and they were using their divide and rule policy in India. Most of Indian kings and nawabs fallen into their schemes assigning their kingdom to the foreigners while the barve Pindari were strongly against British rule and decided to fight till their last breath instead of giving away their kingdom to foreigners. Veer is bravest and strongest among Pindaris and he want to throw out the British Empire from Madhavgarh and he has to also fight with king of Madhavgarh as well and some of his own tribe jealous people. He falls in love with princess of Madhavgarh, Yashodhara while her father is his sworn enemy. Veer had to take revenge from Madhavgarh king for the dishonor of his father as he had betrayed the Pindari leading to a massacre of 1500 men in past. Salman meets his dream girl in London and they study in same college. They fall in love with each other. Veer slaughters more than a dozen people in the hostel campus and escapes from London with badly injured his brother Punay. Movie is getting mixed kind of review from different places and till date movie has got gross revenue of Rs 79 crore. Movie earned about Rs 33 crore in its very first week in India according to Eros spokesman. Movie has melodious music which people liked and Salman Khan has shown magic of his acting as well. He is appreciated for his acting but he is also alleged for plagiarism of story. He has given many big hits to bollywood so always expectations are always high from him and he has shown his experience in movie and looks like a true warrior.
